Position Overview:

The Pharmacy Coordinator reports to the Pharmacy Director and is responsible for developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of business and analytical processes pertaining to pharmacy at AllSpire Health Group Purchasing Organization (GPO). The Pharmacy Coordinator will collaborate internally with the designated Sourcing Manager, Project Manager, Analyst, and Pharmacy Director to develop and analyze cost-saving projects that deliver value to AllSpire GPO membership. The Pharmacy Coordinator will build rapport with AllSpire IDN pharmacy leadership and support staff to evaluate and implement cost-saving strategies across clinical, operational, and financial opportunities.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manipulate and analyze current drug spend and utilization to identify opportunities for best practices or cost-reduction strategies
• Understand data trending and using data to make informed business decisions.
• Identify, measure, validate, and document the financial impact of drug cost reduction initiatives and revenue enhancement initiatives related to AllSpire projects
• Collaborate with IDN pharmacy leadership to formulate ideas, analyze problems, and develop and implement solutions to ultimately improve patient care throughout AllSpire
• Work with IDN pharmacy membership to ensure reimbursement that will maximize margin for medications
• Assist the other Pharmacy Director in leading the AllSpire pharmacy collaborative meetings and preparing/delivering IDN pharmacy quarterly business reviews
• Conduct onsite visits with AllSpire IDN pharmacy leadership on a regular cadence per calendar year
• Demonstrate the value of AllSpire contracts to GPO membership and to potential external business partners
• Create, develop, and operationalize new GPO pharmacy services
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships in conjunction with the sourcing manager
• Represent AllSpire at relevant conferences and expositions as determined by leadership.

Skills, Knowledge, & Experience:

• RPh or PharmD from accredited college of pharmacy
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a pharmacy environment as a licensed pharmacist
• Pharmacy residency and/or advanced degree preferred
• Experience managing and/or directing a pharmacy 340B program preferred
• Experience with drug diversion mitigations strategies preferred
• Work effectively in a team-based environment
• Ability to manipulate and/or summarize data to develop analyses
• Ability to align analytics, problem solving, and recommendations with AllSpire’s strategic objectives
• Demonstrate strategic thinking, ability to multi-task, organizational skills, and effective communication
• Build rapport with pharmacy leaders and support staff through efficient and effectively communication
