Pay Information $2,662 per week About The Position Summary : Cardiovascular technologists who work in facilities that run tests on heart health. They assist with the insertion of catheters into the heart and are responsible for measuring and administering special fluids. Duties and Responsibilities: Transfer stable patients to recovery rooms following the completion of procedures. Assist with the cleaning maintenance set-up and testing of EP lab equipment. Answer questions from patients and family members prior to the procedure. Monitored EKG readouts and reported any irregularities to the doctor. Inspect and test EKG equipment prior to patient procedures. Prepare patients for procedures (cleaning, shaving, etc.). Anesthetize the area of insertion for angioplasties. Education & Experience Requirements: Associates Degree. Telemetry Certification or ability to obtain certification. One year of experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Technician. Current AHA BLS.
