Who we are looking for:

Atkore, a recipient of a Great Place to Work© certification and a Top Workplaces USA award, is searching for a 1st Shift Receiving Clerk to be based out of Phoenix, AZ. Reporting to the shift supervisor, the Receiving Clerk’s primary focus will be to provide administrative support to the Receiving and Manufacturing Departments. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

What you’ll do:

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Enter and monitor date into JDE
• Support JDE inbound transactions
• Monitor material availability and receiving orders
• Track daily on time delivery and support corrective actions for failures
• Provide backup support in the shipping/receiving department
• Notify inventory control of any variances in quantity ordered and quantity received
• Monitor tag inventory and produce inventory
• Promote a safety culture and awareness within their area of responsibility
• Identify and champion opportunity for continuous improvement initiatives
• Ability to work weekends and off shifts as required

What you'll bring:

• High school diploma preferred
• 3-5 years of related work-experience required
• Computer literate in spreadsheets and work applications, including Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Hands on, accountable team player with the willingness to learn as well as teach others. This position requires extensive time spent within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of AS400, and/or JD Edwards a plus
• Well organized and able to process large amounts of information
