Allied Reliability is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician Near Concord, NC

Overview

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:• Follow all safety policies and procedures• Comply with all plant rules, safety regulations and job hazard analysis (JHA) requirements• Actively participate in plant safety initiatives and works to continuously improve safety in Harrisburg• Troubleshoot and repair machinery; pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical and/or other identified problems/opportunities• Provide mechanical and electrical support to the manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, etc.), and facility• Fabricate sheet metal parts and safety guards for equipment as directed• Assemble, setup and operate new manufacturing equipment• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools• Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools; connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components• Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensurecompatibility and safety of system• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as volt meters• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause (schematics comprehension, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.) of a breakdown and correct the problem• Participate in corrective action plan development, implementation and follow-up as issues or problems occur• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as per Maintenance Manager and/or Supervisor direction• Move, align, level, and installs machinery as business need dictates• Assist skilled trades journeymen as needed• Document all activities as required, able to document work orders, work completed• Provide support and maintain compliance with all company guidelines, IATF, ISO14001, and observe and abide by all regulatory standards regarding safety, environmental and/or all applicable government regulations and standards• Initiate continuous improvement ideas, cost saving initiatives, participate in lean workshops, safety training, machine training, etc. as identified by the Company• Always maintain 5S Standards for the department to ensure clean and orderly housekeeping in all assigned areas• Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor. SKILLS AND ABILITIESThe employee should hold the following abilities: • Must be able to read, write, and speak English • Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills • Must have the ability to multi-task• Must possess strong internal and external customer service skills • Must be able to do basic mathematical calculations • Must work well in team environment• Must be able to work with cross-functional teams • Must be self-directed, autonomously motivated, and able to work independently• Must have a strong self-awareness of strengths and development areas – works to continuously improve COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIESThe employee must be able to:• Operate a computer or other keyboard instrument• Basic to intermediate expertise in Microsoft Outlook, Excel (run reports through SAP, track metrics) and Word skills• Working knowledge of SAP or other inventory management systems EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEThe employee should have the following:• High school diploma or equivalent is required • Related experience and/or training in an industrial environment• Inventory tracking experience preferred• 3-5 years working in a manufacturing environment • Must be 18 years or olderESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position requires:• The ability to work varying or rotating shifts • The ability to work overtime when necessary• Exposure to hot/cold temperature- continuously• Exposure to noise- continuously • The ability to work in confined spaces• Lifting/carrying/moving up to 50 pounds• Standing- frequently• Walking – continuously• Hand/Eye Coordination– continuously• Handling (holding, grasping)- continuously
