Allied Reliability is Hiring an Industrial Electrician Near Niagara Falls, NY

Overview

Allied Reliabilty is seeking experienced Industrial Electricians for adirect hire opportunity with one of our clients in the Upstate New York area. 

The Electrical Maintenance Technician performs in-process repairs of equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. The primary function of this role is to keep equipment running efficiently to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the event of a breakdown.
  • Electrical repair and wiring of VFD's, PLC's, electrical controls, and devices such as temperature, pressure, level, position and other sensors.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance – Cleaning, testing, adjustments, parts replacement, calibration, etc.
  • Read schematics, prints, maintenance, and operating manuals to troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment.
  • Repair, or rebuild components and sub-assemblies.
  • Communicate with maintenance team members other across departments to report and resolve issues.
  • Complete verbal and written work orders as assigned.
  • Document work in CMMS system.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, including LOTO, always.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area.
  • Related duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Associates in related technical field is preferred.
  • Must have 5 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment, or journeyman equivalent.
  • Must possess and demonstrate basic technical knowledge of some or all of the following:
  • Understanding of piping systems – sanitary for product flow, steam piping, and pneumatic.
  • Must have experience with high voltage wiring, 3 phase, 480, 220, etc.
  • Must have a strong understanding of VFD's, theory, wiring of variable speed drives.
  • PLC troubleshooting, wiring, programming a plus.
  • HVAC systems – exhaust fans, floor fans, and HVAC.
  • Process equipment – pumps, motors, filling, capping, labelers, packing, and sealing equipment.
  • Personal Computing – mostly outlook, word, CMMS, and SAP (work order processing).
