SALES
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee account management by assigning new accounts and reassigning existing accounts to Sales Team for appropriate fit of customer expectations and needs
Assist Sales Team in pursuing new customer relationships and developing existing customer relationships
Work effectively with Executive and Operations Teams to ensure project type and scope the Sales Teams are pursuing are within the capabilities of successful completion.
Ensure quality of project scope, estimate, and project expectations provided by Sales Team to Administration and Operation Teams are accurate and complete for successful execution.
Review Profitability Reports and Job Cost Center Reports with Sales Team and Operation Teams to determine areas of success and opportunities for improvement
Assistwith escalated concerns from both external and internal customers relating to the Sales Team and their responsibilities
Provide consistent feedback and evaluation of performance to Sales Team
Evaluate and assist in maintaining personnel needs of Sales Department
Implement directives from Executive Team impacting Sales Team’s performance and expectations
Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Team or CEO
Oversee, assist, and provide proper training and tools for Sales Team to successfully perform the following responsibilities:
Transfer deficiencies noted in inspection reports to deficiency logs and prepare proposals
Create deficiency proposals as outlined in standard operating procedures
Communicate deficiency proposals directly with customer via phone, fax, and/or email
A continued commitment in pursuit of new customers by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads and utilizing outlined market strategies
Meet or exceed sales budget goals set by service operations manager and Exec Team
Promote a positive ongoing relationship with customers and end users
Estimate hard bid contracts and provide a proposal to the customer by the bid date
Conduct job site surveys to ensure the accuracy of the estimate
Prepare assigned reports needed for invoicing (Customer set up sheet)
Maintain inspection and service sales log for all deficiencies and service bids and proposals
Demonstrate effective communication skills when interacting with all internal and external customers

Conduct Bi-weekly Meetings with Team in conjunction with Operations, Admin and Design
Update status on all jobs – materials, equipment rentals, subcontractors, intercompany jobs, etc.
Determineneeds for Sales Team involvement with Change Orders, Coordination, Invoicing, Collections on open jobs
Review potential jobs to be awarded and field capabilities to perform work
Timely Review and Sign Off on Reports
Credit Card Expense Reports
Timesheets (PM and Admin)
Liens and Notices
Track and Ensure Profitability of Department
Promote and Track Department Growth –department and individual goals to be discussed annually
Support and Ensure Team Adherence to All Company SOPs – Job Set Up, Contracts, Change Orders, Purchase Orders, Accounting Processes, Subcontractors, etc.
Overhead Review – semi-annual meetings with leadership
Maintain Quality Control in all aspects of the department
Ensure Customer Satisfaction and respond to Customer Satisfaction Survey feedback improvement opportunities
Reduce Turnover and Increase Retention within department
Training
Input and Development of Training Requirements
Commitment to Training at all levels for all team members
Be an Expert on Every Aspect of Your Business/Department

Reports – Sales, Active/Inactive, WIP, Bid Logs, Bid Lists, Profitability, Liens and Notices, Unapproved Change Orders, etc.

Teamwork – maintain positive interactions within your team, local office, same department in other offices, Accounting, etc.
Maintain a Global Customer View for opportunities to expand leads and relationships across product lines and customer portfolio
Maintain an Account Ownership mindset to ensure Customer Satisfaction and Customer Retention
Partner with Marketing and Business Development Team
Know the Allied “Why” – maintain a consistent message
Knowledge:
Minimum education of High School Diploma or Equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Equivalent preferred
Must possess strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel Software and have capabilities to adapt and become knowledgeable with new platforms and software as necessary
Work Experience:
5 years of experience in Business Management
5 or more years of experience in direct profit and loss responsibility. Process management, and/or service sales management
5 years of experience in fire sprinkler or fire alarm sales and/or service, preferred
Experience with fire alarm and suppression systems, preferred
Previous experience with customer service and supervision in an office setting
Sprinkler or Fire Alarm Sales experience a plus
