AlliED Educational Services is Hiring a Social Emotional Learning Specialist Near Monterey, CA

About us

AlliED is a locally based company serving students throughout the Central Coast.

Seeking a highly motivated individual with interest or experience in leading classroom activities. Perfect part time position for a college student or those interested in pursuing occupations in education or therapy.

Job Title: Social Emotional Education Specialist

Duties:

- Provide social emotional instruction and support to students in a general education setting
- Implement Social Emotional curriculum through weekly whole class lessons for students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning environment
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure the needs of each student are met
- Adapt instructional materials and methods to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and topical knowledge

Skills:

- Knowledge of working with students or leading groups, especially with children/students
- Classroom management skills to create a positive and structured learning environment
- Experience of social emotional concepts preferred
- Ability to implement engaging lesson plans that address class wide social emotional objectives
- Familiarity with regulation strategies
- Knowledge of the educational setting, or a willingness to learn and grow

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
