Allied Communications DBA Boost Mobile is Hiring a Human Resources Specialist Near Dublin, OH

Largest growing wireless company in the Columbus, OH area is currently looking for a Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist must be dedicated and industrious, committed to accuracy in all transactions. The successful candidate will handle all payroll processing duties, employee benefits and compensation, as well as workplace disputes and legal situations. We need a responsible professional who cares about our team’s success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • MUST BE ADP KNOWLEDGEABLE/EXCEL SPREADSHEET
  • Responsible for the preparation, set-up, maintenance, audit, reconciliation, and processing of multi-state bi-weekly payroll with high efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy with regard to reviewing, editing and issue research to ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Acquainted with major payroll processing companies (ADP, Paychex).
  • Provide high-level attention to detail to ensure accuracy through payroll analytics.
  • Run payroll reports and other payroll related analysis and report to the management and finance department.
  • Calculate commission payments for employees, district managers, and regional managers.
  • Verify accuracy of approved timesheets and make corrections when needed.
  • Track and verify time off reporting.
  • Process stop payments, direct deposits reversals and off cycle payments
  • Ensure the proper taxation for state and local jurisdictions and apply for new accounts if needed
  • Establish and maintain the setup of new direct deposit and pay card accounts
  • Interpret and process employee garnishments and assist with garnishment agency and employee inquiries.
  • Answers inquiries and provides information; researches and resolves payroll issues and discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Process unemployment claims and wage verifications
  • Provide support/teamwork to other Coordinators for all payroll functions.
  • Administering and reviewing all benefits plans (e.g. medical, dental, vision)
  • Dependable with solid understanding of handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office and strong computer and software skills
  • Prepare information for Worker’s Compensation audit.
  • Excellent communicator as well as a relationship builder with the ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees.
  • Performs other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • 3 years' experience in human resources, payroll, or accounting for a corporation
  • Strong, demonstrated proficiency with communication skills, influence, adaptability/flexibility, and building relationships.
  • Knowledge of local state and federal employment laws and procedures
  • Knowledge of wage and hour laws
  • Previous experience and proven ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and personal issues.
  • Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with employees at all levels and the general public.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel, PowerPoint, and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
