In the role of Actuarial Analyst you will analyze company risk related to insurance products, price new products or evaluate reserves to ensure there is sufficient capital to pay claims and perform in-depth analyses of historical business performance to accurately forecast future liability.

What you’ll do

  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the role.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret risk management data.
  • Maintain working knowledge of benefits, certificates and adjudication process to evaluate potential impact of benefit plan experience data.
  • Meet actuarial reporting needs: manage the completion and delivery of internal and external reports, including claim reserve reviews and financial and risk reports.
  • Independently complete reports and estimates using existing tools.
  • Implement innovative insurance, management and client reporting for specialty insurance businesses.
  • Complete regulatory rate filings in support of new or updated product needs.
  • Enhance workbooks and models as necessary to support changes in the business.
  • Contribute to global lines of business and regional work streams.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics or related field or equivalent combination of work and education experience.
  • Zero (0) to three (3) years of related actuarial experience in the insurance industry.
  • Successful completion of at least two (2) Casualty Actuarial Society exams is preferred.
    Experience with SQL, R and Python preferred.
