Job Summary

Alliant Energy is looking for people to join our Semi-Skilled Laborer workforce in Monroe, WI. This program takes individuals with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn and teaches them the skills needed to transition into an Alliant Energy apprenticeship position.

As a semi-skilled laborer you will have an opportunity to perform miscellaneous semi-skilled, physical work required in any activity of the Company.

What you will do

• Performs miscellaneous semi-skilled physical work required in any activity of the Company.
• Examples : Maintaining buildings and equipment; doing minor construction and incidental carpentry; mixing and placing concrete;
• painting; driving truck; maintaining, repairing, and overhauling various machines and accessories; helping incidentally in the storeroom;

assisting in pipe work; operating pneumatic drill or hammer; building or repairing substation fences; or any other comparable physical labor requiring a similar degree of practical ability.

Performs other duties which are similar, related or incidental to this position.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Required Experience

Previous work or internship experience or technical school experience.

Other Requirements

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
