BWP’s next General Manager (GM) will lead a community-focused, mission-driven municipal utility that is widely respected for its commitment to sustainability and excellent customer service. With input from the Burbank City Council and BWP Board, the GM exercises substantial latitude and discretion in executing short- and long-term projects, programs, and activities for the utility’s 50,000 residential and business customers. The GM is supported by a highly skilled executive team and a staff of approximately 350 people who are devoted to providing Burbank with reliable, affordable, and sustainable utility services. BWP’s annual budget is $415 million ($45 million CIP). The ideal candidate is a critical thinker and inspirational leader with outstanding communication skills. They are proactive, results-oriented, and collaborative. They promote excellence, personify integrity, and are committed to leading a top-tier organization. Well-qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, at least 10 years of administrative experience, and 5 years’ experience leading a major division of a government, business, or utility.

Salary:$278,295.96 - $365,959.08 per year plus excellent benefits.
