Field Service Technician - Rotating Equipment - Pumps. Urgent Hiring

Job Summary:

Alliance Pump & Mechanical Service located in Independence, Missouri is searching for a service technician who has experience with rotating equipment including well pumps and well rehab, wastewater pumps-related accessories, doing field service, and spend time periodically in the shop. This Field Service Mechanic will specialize in repairs of all types of clean and dirty water- turbine pumps, well rehab, centrifugal pumps, gearboxes, other mechanical equipment, and the control panels to operate the pumps.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance on all types of centrifugal clean water and dirty water pumps.
Install vertical turbine pumps.
Perform well rehab operations.
Repair of all types of gearboxes and other mechanical equipment.
Working on customers' sites rehabbing and installing pumps and pump-related equipment.
Repair of electrical systems, mainly control panels and variable frequency drives.
Maintain records of service and repairs.
Welding and fabricating parts and modifying if needed.
Work in confined spaces.
Follow company safety procedures.
Ability to lift 25 pounds and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
This is a physically demanding job and occasionally will require working in sometimes extreme weather conditions.
CDL license desirable to drive the service trucks and boom truck.

Skills: DESIREABLE

Mechanical aptitude a must!
Knowledge of single-phase and 3-phase electrical service.
Associated electrical experience in a field environment.
Proven Field Service experience.
Experience rehab of wells
Ability to weld.
Knowledge of testing equipment and proper use of such equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service equipment.
Ability to adapt to changing work schedules.
Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
Technical degree or certification ideal.
Travel within a 100-150-mile radius of our shop.
Occasionally a job may require an overnight stay.
Some overtime or after-hours may be required.
CDL license and/or willingness to obtain CDL license for operation of field service trucks.
