Encouraging growth and stretching their potential is paramount to success, and achievements for all.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Engineer with expertise in DeltaV to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of excellence serving our clients in the pharmaceutical industry.Job DescriptionAs an Automation Engineer with DeltaV experience, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems that drive the efficiency, reliability, and performance of our client's processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, work with state-of-the-art technologies, and contribute to the success of our projects.
Position Responsibilities
- DeltaV System Design: Design, develop, and configure DeltaV automation systems to meet the specific needs of the client.
- Programming and Configuration: Create, maintain, and troubleshoot DeltaV DCS software, control strategies, and HMI applications.
- Integration: Integrate DeltaV systems with other control systems, instrumentation, and software applications to ensure seamless operation.
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans, perform system testing, and support the validation process to ensure system reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve automation system issues, implement corrective actions, and provide technical support to operational teams.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and change control records.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system enhancements, upgrades, and optimizations to improve overall performance.
- Compliance: Ensure that all automation systems and processes adhere to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
- Training: Train and mentor other team members in DeltaV system operation and maintenance.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, maintenance personnel, and IT professionals, to meet project goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as an Automation Engineer with a focus on DeltaV systems.
- In-depth knowledge of DeltaV DCS, including system design, configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to automation systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience performing CSV activities in an cGMP environment, along with different environments (development, production, training, etc)
Additional related skills and abilities
- Knowledge in process control systems, data historian and building management systems, such as DeltaV, PI Historian and Siemens Apogee.
- Computer knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11.
- Understand automation protocols like: HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Traditional I/O, Profibus, Ethernet I/P, OPC and Modbus TCP/IP.
- Knowledge with programmable logic controllers, configuration, troubleshooting and operation.
- Support departmental documentation generation and maintenance.
- Capable to use, read and understand blue prints, drawings and complex operational documentation.
