Summary:
The Scanner is responsible for maintaining patient medical records, ensuring that all patient information is properly scanned into the correct electronic medical record.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Disassemble paper patient files/records to prepare for scanning.
- Scan the individual patient file.
- Save the scanned file as an electronic file into appropriate folder.
- Reassemble paper patient files/records for storage.
- Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality of any patient information.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Computer and scanner skills and abilities.
- MicroSoft Office knowledge - Intermediate.
- Excellent and consistent attendance.
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in healthcare or medical fields desired but not required.
- General office administration experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing at a scanner.
- Periods working on a computer.
- Ability to work on a repeatable task throughout the day.
