Summary:
The Scanner is responsible for maintaining patient medical records, ensuring that all patient information is properly scanned into the correct electronic medical record.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Disassemble paper patient files/records to prepare for scanning.
Scan the individual patient file.
Save the scanned file as an electronic file into appropriate folder.
Reassemble paper patient files/records for storage.
Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality of any patient information.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Computer and scanner skills and abilities.
MicroSoft Office knowledge - Intermediate.
Excellent and consistent attendance.
Education and Experience:
Previous experience in healthcare or medical fields desired but not required.
General office administration experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing at a scanner.
Periods working on a computer.
Ability to work on a repeatable task throughout the day.
