Allergy Practice is Hiring a Medical Front Office Receptionist Near Bedford, TX

Job Summary:

Busy Allergy & Asthma practice in Bedford seeking Full-Time Front Office Receptionist (experience preferred but not required). The right individual will be outgoing, friendly, compassionate, motivated, multitasker, detail oriented and have a strong work ethic. Must be personable and capable of engaging with patients and creating a pleasant check-in experience. If you are ready to work and be part of a great team, contact us today!

Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8am-5pm

Wednesday: 9am-6pm

Friday: 7am-12pm

Responsibilities and Duties:

Greets patients in a friendly and professional manner, building rapport and positive relationships.

Telephone and desk administration, answer calls and patient questions, route calls as needed, and takes messages as necessary for staff and physicians.

Schedules, confirms, and reschedules patient appointments for optimal time management of clinic.

Verifies, updates, and enters all patient demographic and insurance information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Works with patient and insurance providers to verify and collect co-pays, coinsurance, deductibles, deposits, and/or past due balances.

Explains financial policy to patients, including the patient’s financial responsibility, and ensures patient signs the financial policy.

Ensures patients complete all documents needed for insurance and clinic needs.

Cross-train to cover back office when coverage is needed.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) License (preferred but not required)
  • 1 year medical front office (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Athena Practice EMR (preferred)
