We are interested in hiring a full time medical assistant to join our office team. This person needs to be friendly, can empathize with patients, be highly organized and have a strong work ethic. This is just a few of the job responsibilities for this position.

1) Show patients to examination rooms and interview them to obtain medical information to prepare them to see the provider.

2) Record patients' medical history, vital statistics and information such as test results in medical records.

3) Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.

4) Explain treatment procedures, medications, and physicians' instructions to patients.

5) Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing such tasks as giving injections.

6) Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.

7)Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.

8) Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.

9) Schedule appointments for patients and do patient call backs. Also contact medical facilities or departments to schedule patients for tests and/or labs.

10) Making serum for our allergy injections in a sterile environment.

AAIC hours of operation are from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Tuesday from 8:00am till 6:00PM. 7:30am to 4:30pm on Fridays, Off on holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
