Starting Salary: $31,992Qualifications
  • Two to three years of related experience and/or training as an administrative assistant.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions (written, verbal, or diagram), correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to perform basic and advanced mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Proficient to advanced experience with programs and software such as the Internet, web-based applications, spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), word processing (Microsoft Word), and databases
  • Consistent record of satisfactory work performance.
  • Acceptable criminal and child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151).
  • Such additional or alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board or Superintendent may determine appropriate and acceptable.
SummarySupports the designated administrator by performing responsibilities that include, but are not limited to answering and screening phone calls; coordinating staff schedules and appointments; filing and maintaining correspondence; data entry; and assisting with the management of budget, grant and/or programs and coordinating varied aspects of the office through the duties listed below. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Reads and routes incoming mail. Locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by supervisor.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate records in print and electronic format to comply with local, state and/or federal requirements.
  • Organizes and maintains file systems, files correspondence, and other records in paper and electronic formats.
  • Tracks and maintains budgets.
  • Generates invoices and purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Retrieves/enters information and generates reports.
  • Composes and types routine and ad-hoc correspondence.
  • Communicates with a variety of partners such as staff, parents, vendors/contractors, and external partners as required.
  • Answers and screens supervisor’s telephone calls and arranges conference calls.
  • Coordinates supervisor’s schedule and makes appointments.
  • Greets scheduled visitors and conducts them to appropriate areas or persons.
  • Arranges and coordinates travel schedules and reservations.
  • Performs secretarial duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Conducts research and compiles and types statistical reports as required.
  • Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas, reserves and prepares facilities and records or transcribes minutes of meetings.
  • Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including email, faxes and monthly bulk mailings as required.
  • Orders and maintains supplies and arranges for equipment maintenance.
  • Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the supervisor.?
