High participation in activities, where students are engaged beyond the school day, has the ability to enrich the overall school culture and climate, foster stronger school spirit and increase academic performance.

The vision for the Allentown School District Athletics Department is to ensure that the athletic program is an integral component of the educational program, providing participants with an opportunity to promote physical well-being, enhance self-confidence, build school spirit and promote a positive school climate while learning values such as teamwork and sportsmanship.

ASD athletic programs should be designed to meet students’ interests and abilities, and be varied in scope to attract wide participation.

  • Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI Fingerprinting - Unless otherwise indicated, only results from the Department of Education will be accepted.
  • The Pennsylvania Department of Health requires each new school district employee to submit a School Personnel Health Record, completed by a licensed physician.

At a minimum, the completed School Health Record form must reflect the results of a recent physical examination and tuberculin testing.
