Job Summary

Supervises and coordinates the activities of material handlers; oversees the organization, implementation, and maintenance of the facility's physical distribution layout and processes. Oversees the shipping and receiving functions ensuring that all transactions are performed and recorded on a timely basis.

Pay: $18.50 USD/hr

Responsibilities

• Performs operations and safety checks on equipment before signing out and operating lift trucks, including lock-out, tag-out procedures.
• Safely move, load, and unload products and/or stack them to assigned areas and/or for shipment, including manually lifting and stacking boxes in the shipping area.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Supervision of facility and facility staff
• Execution of shipping plans and assignments
• Track shipping metrics
• Maintain/improve the condition of shipping equipment and facility
• Organize and track inventory using a systematic process
• Implement and enforce safety guidelines
• Provide and document proper training for production staff
• Recommend methods to improve production and quality of production facility

Qualifications

• Hardworking and enthusiastic personality.
• Must be minimum of 18 years of age.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• 2 years of forklift operator experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Able to manage and set priorities in a changing environment.
• High degree of self-motivation and flexibility.
• Analytical and structured work approach.

Physical Demands

• Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
