GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Clinical Adjunct Instructor/Staff Nurse is a hybrid role allowing flexibility for both providing direct bedside patient care as well as serving in an adjunct faculty role for the AHN Schools of Nursing. This nurse has the authority, responsibility and accountability for both clinical instruction of students and utilizing the nursing process to provide quality patient care.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
Precepting Experience
Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Act 33 and 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with Renewal
Preferred
The individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit.
Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment.
Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process.
