EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION (ECSE) PARAPROFESSIONAL
North Ward Early Childhood Center - TEMPORARY Position

Job Summary:

This position is for 30 to 60 days depending on the need in the ECSE Classroom
Desire and ability to work with children & adults in an educational setting
Ability to assist students with academic tasks and behavioral supports
Ability to communicate well with staff, students and parents
Training and/or experience working with students with disabilities preferred
Ability to work with students with behavioral concerns
Ability to assist with medical needs (if applicable)
Ability to assist with toileting and diapering needs

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is required and MUST be “Highly Qualified” as required under NCLB – this requires 60 or more college credits or a passing score of 460 on the ETS Parapro Assessment.
Working Conditions: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
10:00am-1:00pm

Salary: Based on Paraprofessional Contracted Schedule

Reports to: Building Principal and/or Special Education Director
