Position Summary
To provide early intervention speech pathology services for infants and toddlers following the best practice guidelines for Early On and who are eligible for services under Part C and B of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) utilizing the Primary Service Provider model. This position is a temporary assignment at seven and a half (7.5) hours per day with a flexible, remote work option when not in local districts.
Recommended Employment Qualifications
Education: This position requires a Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology as well as Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Must meet criteria required for full approval as a Speech and Language Pathologist per Michigan Department of Education Revised Administrative Rules for Special Education, R 340.1792 required. Experience: This position requires three to five years of experience working in early intervention with the 0-3 population, including with infants and toddlers who are medically fragile; or comparable experience. Experience utilizing a Primary Service Provider Model and working collaboratively with hospitals, community agencies, and local stakeholders preferred.
