Summary:

The Assistant Facility Administrator is responsible for assisting the Facilities Administrator with facility management, including administration and management; detainee health care (in conjunction with KBHU); security and control; food service; staff and detainee communications; safety and sanitation; services and programs; workforce integrity; and prevention of detainee discrimination.

  • Please Note: This position is contingent upon a contract award. We will not be actively responding to applicants until there is a need to move forward with this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

  • Conducting liaison with ICE management as necessary to promote operational efficiency in the absence of the Facilities Administrator.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of ACA standards and 2011 PBNDS (2016 Revision) requirements.
  • Must meet ACA and 2011 PBNDS (2016 Revision) requirements with Government review.
  • Ensuring ACA standards are communicated to the work force, and that ACA performance-based standards are met in every aspect of Contractor services.
  • Ensuring 2011 PBNDS (2016 Revision) standards are communicated to the work force, and that 2011 PBNDS (2016 Revision) are met in every aspect of Contractor services.
  • Assist with providing direction to the workforce to achieve ICE and ERO metrics.
  • Assist Facilities Administrator with meeting at least weekly with the COR to review Contractor performance and plan improvements.
  • Assist confirming the Contractor complies with the Staffing Plan.
  • Providing effective administrative support.
  • Monitoring Supervisory Detention Officer performance.
  • Ensuring Facility Security and Control performance measures are achieved.
  • Assist the Facility Administrator with delivery of a Monthly Activity Report that summarizes Contractor staffing, activities, and performance for the contract’s previous month period to the COR.
  • Acts as liaison between Corporate Office and the COTR and other Government representatives in the event of the Facilities Administrator’s absence.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred major in criminal justice, law enforcement or corrections management.
    • Experience can be substituted for education on a 1:1 basis
  • Minimum three (3) years of administrative experience
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record, able to drive company vehicle
  • Must be an ACA member
  • Must complete ACA accredited training annually
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Teams and other collaboration software
  • Adept at explaining technical aspects of field work to internal and external clients verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior law enforcement, corrections or detention services and/or military experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software
  • Professional Registration such as PMP
  • Master’s degree criminal justice, law enforcement or corrections management or related field

Supervision

Supervises management staff within the facility.

Working Environment:

The work environment characteristics described in this job description are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. Work is performed in an office environment, may be subject to temperature and noise level changes.

Work areas will include all areas of the secured facility, and often works alone. Works where slips & trips may occur frequently and often exposed to sharp objects. Is often exposed to blood borne pathogens. Exposed to maximum heat of 100 degrees, and cold of minimum 35 degrees with some noise and chemicals, in a moist or dry environment with exposure to sun. Overall demands of this position are moderate.

Physical Demands (including but not limited to):

  • May be required to bend and stoop frequently and occasionally kneel or crouch.
  • Often climbs stairs and works with arms above the shoulder.
  • May often be required to move heavy equipment.
  • Required to lift 50 lbs or less frequently and often lifts 50-65 lbs.
  • May often be required to grip, squeeze and repetitively use fine hand movements.
