Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Specialist to join our team. As a Youth Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to children in need. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals and contribute to their overall well-being.

Duties:
- Provide direct care and supervision to youth in a residential or community-based setting
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Implement behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and educators, to ensure comprehensive care
- Facilitate group activities and educational programs
- Serve as a mentor and positive role model for youth
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and transportation
- Document observations, progress, and incidents accurately

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred
- Experience working with children in a childcare, social work, or similar setting
- Knowledge of child welfare practices and regulations
- Strong conflict management skills
- Ability to educate and mentor youth effectively
- Familiarity with special education principles is a plus
- Understanding of behavioral health issues in children
