JOB OVERVIEW

The All-Star Tournament Series, an All-Star Sports Academy company, is currently seeking an Events Manager Intern. This opportunity will provide an in-depth understanding of how a tournament and events business operates from the logistical and administrative work required pre-event to assisting on-site during events. This is a great opportunity for any candidate with interest in the business of sports. Interns will be guided on how to most effectively state their experience on their resumes so it is attractive to future employers. Furthermore, this is an opportunity to be involved with our academy and position yourself for a career path within All-Star Sports Academy. This will be an unpaid internship.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a successful Intern, you will be responsible for assisting with the operations side of Special Events baseball tournaments.

· During this internship interns will be learning and assisting in the logistics and administration that is needed for pre-event preparation in addition to assisting in the actual performance of the tournaments.

 · The logistics and administration includes but is not limited to: schedule production, collection of rosters and COI’s, and communication with staff, umpires and clients.

· Performance of the tournaments includes but is not limited to: field maintenance and preparation, holding all attendees accountable to our policies and procedures, ensuring that the games are on schedule, communication with team coaches, parents, and umpires, and recording of data and metrics.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

You may be required to lift up to 70 lbs. and may be exposed to dust/dirt and hot temperatures.
