Instructor Job Description
❖Instructors can provide both classroom and/or in-vehicle training
❖Instructors will facilitate an interactive learning experience through group activity, discussion, and lecture in the classroom
❖Provide ongoing feedback to both students and parents as the students improve their driving skills
❖All Star’s proprietary curriculum, materials and lesson plans are all provided

Job Requirements/Eligibility
❖Candidates must have a safe driving record and pass a background check and drug screen
❖Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills
❖Complete State required paperwork for students to receive their certificates
❖ Must be over 21 years of age
❖ Must hold a valid driver’s license for at least 5 years
❖ Must have a clean driving and criminal record
❖ Must have a high school diploma or GED
❖ Successful completion of *Driver Education Instructor Training*
*What does Driver Education Instructor Training consist of? *
You will be required to do observations in a classroom and behind the wheel setting with students taking driver education. Observation hours consist of 24 classroom hours and 16 hours behind the wheel. In addition, you will need to complete the 1 day (8 hour) Basic Instructor Training Course (BIC) in Columbus and an online Sexual Harassment training. Once all observation hours and the BIC is complete, you will teach and have a 2-hour classroom evaluation and a 2-hour behind the wheel observation. This all totals the entire training to 52 hours. Ohio Driver Education Instructor Training is easily completed within a 6–8-week period!
