This role will collaborate closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to oversee social events and corporate functions at our resort. If you have a passion for creating memorable experiences and exceeding expectations, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities:Coordinate and oversee client functions to ensure utmost customer satisfactionSell, manage, coordinate, and execute group assignments to meet or exceed revenue goalsMonitor contractual agreements related to guest room blocks, meeting space, food and beverage, and special offeringsCommunicate effectively with all hotel departments to successfully execute group needs while maintaining positive client relationshipsPrepare correspondence, reports, and maintain files related to catering salesParticipate in business review meetings, training sessions, and industry eventsWork collaboratively with other hotel departments to deliver quality service to customersStay informed about market trends, competition, and customer preferencesControl booking of meeting spaces and prepare necessary function sheets and catering correspondenceForecast banquet food and beverage sales and maintain accurate function recordsAnalyze food pricing and catering service records to make necessary adjustmentsArrange details for banquets, off-site events, and special partiesCooperate with department heads to ensure hotel commitments are fulfilledAssist management with other tasks as requiredSkills and Experience:3 years of upscale hotel experience in event operationsOpening experience preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage complex tasks and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Demonstrated team-centric leadership skillsExcellent team skills, including listening, coaching, adaptability, collaboration, and facilitationEducation: 4-year college degree preferred; CMP Certification preferredJoin us at Southall Farm & Inn and become part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences in a breathtaking setting.
