Position: Residential Nurse

Reporting to: Nursing Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive Medical Care: Coordinate and deliver medical care for residents, including overseeing clinical interventions, medication administration, and hygiene practices to ensure the well-being of each individual.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to state regulations and Medicaid standards, collaborating with the Clinical Coordinator to make informed decisions regarding medical/nursing care.
• Staff Training and Development: Conduct ongoing training sessions for staff members on topics such as communicable disease control, medication administration, and sex education related to developmental disabilities.
• Liaison and Communication: Serve as a vital link between residential facilities and external medical entities, facilitating seamless communication and coordination of annual evaluations and follow-up appointments with clinics, hospitals, and specialists.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Nursing.
• Licensure and Certification: Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Experience: 2-5 years of previous experience as an RN, preferably with experience in an Individualized Care Facility (ICF) or Individualized Residential Alternative Facility (IRA) for the Developmentally Disabled.
