Description
All Pets Animal Hospital - Bentonville is now hiring for a full-time veterinary assistant/technician to join our team!
We are proud to be one of only 10 veterinary hospitals in Arkansas to be certified by the American Animal Hospital Association. Our focus is on being a place of comfort for our clients and pets, in sickness and in health. You will have an open door for growth opportunities ranging from becoming a veterinary technician, specialty medicine, and future management positions!
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Caring for our patients.
  • Cleaning, laundry and basic clinic up keep.
  • Patient handling and restraint.
  • Medication administration & filling prescriptions.
  • Assisting other team members and clinicians as needed.
  • Client communication and education.
  • Admitting and discharging patients.
  • Performing diagnostic blood, urine, and fecal testing.
  • Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture.
  • Assisting with clinical procedures.
  • Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!)
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of veterinary experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff. (It’s okay if you talk to animals, too!)
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time 
  • Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds
  • Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases
