All Paws Animal Hospital, located in the small rural community of Mondovi, WI, is seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team of dedicated animal healthcare professionals. As an Veterinary Assistant at All Paws Animal Hospital, you will work closely with our veterinarians, technicians, and receptionists to provide exceptional care to our patients and their owners.

Offering access to digital radiography, access to both in-house and reference laboratory diagnostics, and patient wellness plans, our team is able to support the medical needs of our patients while gaining the trust and loyalty of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, and record vital signs
• Draws up medications for Veterinarian to administer and will help Technician or Veterinarian with treatment and medication
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
• Assist with dental cleanings and assist with other procedures as needed
• Clean and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Would prefer 1yr of veterinarian experience, but willing to train
• Knowledge of basic animal care, nutrition, and behavior
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
