Plant Manager - Allpacks, Flint, MI

Allpacks, a leading manufacturer of pallets and packaging solutions, is seeking a results-oriented Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of our Flint, Michigan facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring product quality, and leading a diverse team to achieve production goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the entire Flint manufacturing plant.
  • Oversee all production activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Implement and maintain efficient manufacturing processes to optimize production output and minimize waste.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards and safety protocols.
  • Manage a team of diverse employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and motivate staff through effective coaching and performance management.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure plant performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in pallet and packaging manufacturing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Proven track record of increasing production efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Experience in managing a diverse workforce and fostering a culture of inclusion.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in manufacturing software (ERP, MES).
