```Duties```
As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns. Your duties will include:

- Assisting with the delivery process, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as needed
- Providing emotional support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the labor and delivery process
- Conducting assessments of newborns, including measuring vital signs and conducting screenings
- Assisting with breastfeeding support and education for new mothers
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring postpartum patients for any signs of complications or infections
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of care for patients

```Requirements```
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

- Valid nursing license and certification as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Previous experience in labor and delivery or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and documentation practices
- Familiarity with hospice palliative medicine principles
- Ability to catheterize patients when necessary
- Proficient in taking vital signs accurately and efficiently
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Familiarity with family planning methods and counseling techniques
- Knowledge of infant care practices, including feeding, bathing, and diapering
- Ability to perform tube feedings as needed
- Experience in laboratory procedures and specimen collection
