Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in funeral directing, removals, preparation and layouts.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct funeral services in accordance with family wishes and legal requirements
- Provide support to funeral homes
- Arrange for transportation of the deceased, prepare them for viewing, meticulous layout.
- Ensure that all facilities are properly sanitized and maintained
- Conduct embalming procedures, including the ability to sanitize and dissect when necessary
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed
- Utilize cosmetology skills to prepare the deceased for viewings
- Apply knowledge of physiology to ensure proper care of the deceased
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in funeral directing or related field preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and ability to dissect when required
- Capacity for heavy lifting tasks associated with the role
- Cosmetology expertise for preparing the deceased for viewings
- Understanding of physiology to ensure proper care of the deceased
We are a growing trade service and are seeking multiple candidates. So if you live in Long Island or the 5Boro's and are tired of sitting in a Funeral Home for eight hours and want to make above industry standards compensation than this is the position for you.
