All In Education is Hiring a Managing Director of Leadership Programs Near Phoenix, AZ

ALL In Education develops a pipeline of leadership development programs including the Parent Educator Academy, Adelante Fellowship and LISTO: Leaders In Support of Transformational Opportunities. The Managing Director of Leadership Programs will work with the Vice President of Internal Affairs, Leadership and Culture and play a significant role in designing, building and managing our leadership programs. The Managing Director will lead ALL In Education’s efforts to identify and vet prospective candidates for the leadership programs, and ensure our values align. 

Our operating principles are to facilitate learning opportunities that fill a need in a way that is unique to ALL In Education, including by reflecting and advancing our values, that find opportunities for partnerships with the best existing programs, and that do not replicate other programming/content that exists in the field. The Managing Director of Leadership Programs is an accomplished leader in their own right and an advocate for educational equity, as well as has an understanding of education reform efforts.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

With oversight and support from the Vice President of Internal Affairs, Leadership and Culture:

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of all programs of the organization.
  • Leads the development and implementation of programmatic strategies aligned with the ALL In Education's mission and strategic plan.
  • Leads the design, development, and management of impactful programs that align with the organization's mission and identifies emerging trends and opportunities in the education sector.

Supervision of Programs Team

  • Leads the recruitment, hiring, onboarding and training of the Programs Team.
  • Oversees and supervises the work and schedules of the Programs Team.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Supports the training and development of the Programs Team, as well as manages discipline and termination as needed and in accordance with organization policy.
  • Promotes an organizational culture that encourages top performance and high morale.

Leadership Development 

  • In partnership with the curriculum writer, develops curriculum for, facilitates, manages and oversees ALL In Education’s leadership programs, including the Adelante Fellows and Leaders In Support of Transformational Opportunities (LISTO) and the Adelante Alumni Facilitators. 
  • Recruits and cultivates prospective next generation leaders to participate in ALL In Education’s leadership programs. 
  • Oversees and manages the experience of participants in the leadership program. 
  • Provides support and supervision to the team executing the Parent Educator Academy. 
  • Collaborates across the team to support other programs and innovative solutions that ALL In Education chooses to grow or amplify.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive alumni engagement plans, leveraging various communication channels and events to foster a sense of community and involvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for alumni involvement in program development, ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship between the organization and its alumni network.

Program Management 

  • Manages all aspects of the LISTO and Adelante programs throughout their program life cycle from program design, daily program management, communication, governance, monitoring progress, and outcomes.
  • Develops annual project plans for all aspects of the Leadership Programs coordinating these projects, identifying interdependencies, assigning and leveraging resources, and stakeholder communications.
  • Manages and oversees the development of ALL In Ed’s leadership programs, including collaboration with the contracted curriculum writer to design and deliver program content.
  • Maintains budgets and relationships with vendors and consultants.
  • Leads evaluation and assessment of leadership programs recommending changes, new programs, and initiatives that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
  • Leads the documentation effort to ensure all aspects of the program cycle are documented.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Passion and commitment for the advancement of educational equity in Arizona and about helping people learn, grow, and build and engage our community.
  • Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish is required.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and ability to oversee teams of staff, consultants, and working collaboratively with partners.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate remotely with members, with the team and with vendors.
  • Self‐direction. Able to work autonomously with little supervision while also staying connected to a team.
  • Excellent project management skills, ideally including some budgeting experience. Ability to take a vision and make it real.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of effective curriculum design practice, adult learning theory, and evaluation practice. Ability to design learning experiences that are interactive, relevant, and engaging.
  • Strong training and facilitation skills. 
  • Experience in starting and growing new programs to scale.
  • Experience working with education leaders of color and a passion for, and skill at, creating space for leaders of color to be their full selves, share experiences, build connection, and ultimately improve education outcomes.
  • Familiarity with e‐learning platforms and engagement best practices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline — advanced degree a plus.
  • Prior experience working with or in the nonprofit or education sectors.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience in project management, program recruitment, learning & development and/or training.
  • At least five (5) years relevant leadership experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
