As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Shop Mechanic to join our dedicated team.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repair on medium to heavy-duty trucks/trailers and related equipment. To succeed in this role, one should have a solid knowledge of basic mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment, as well as strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and customer service skills, and be able to work independently or as a team member. Candidate(s) must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Candidate(s) must possess a strong commitment to the safety of self and others. The Mechanic will be required to operate in a shop environment. Must be self-motivated, a team player and be open to occasionally work outside in adverse weather conditions. Candidates must be willing to learn new tasks and have pride in the quality of their work.

Work Environment: Work is performed in a shop; both indoors and outdoors. Activities occur inside and outside and are subject to work environments that are not climate controlled, weather, and hot/cold temperature changes, dirt, dust, soot and possibly mold, loud noise, and ladders to use for high heights. Potential hazards such as moving vehicles, proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, high places, high heat, and exposure to chemicals, atmospheric conditions (e.g. fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases), or poor ventilation, or a workspace may be exposed to smoke residue, mold and mildew, contaminated water, or other unsanitary conditions, as well as being in closed quarters/confined spaces (e.g. crawl spaces, small, enclosed rooms, attics, etc.)
