BASIC FUNCTION:

Clerical Specialist is responsible for the efficient flow of patients through the practice. Greets outpatients, provides clerical and clinical assistance, general office duties, maintains patient information, schedules referrals and tests. Works with manager to coordinate front office functions and provide input for improvements.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent. Secretarial experience preferred. Medical Terminology is required.

Must be computer-literate to complete the task(s) as required. Such as MediTech (Hospital Support Software), Halogen (performance appraisal system), Relias (education system), ability to retrieve e-mails, complete online enrollment for health insurance/benefits and any other programs as assigned.
