Description

Summary of Position:

The Bike Recovery Driver operates a passenger E-Cart, van, or cargo van for the Company. The driver represents All About Parking and therefore must operate the vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and safety protocols, including compliance with and acknowledgment of our Department of Transportation policy on Drug and Alcohol Testing. The Vehicle Driver will be required to have a Commercial Class C License (CDL). Additional duties could include bike rebalancing, minor maintenance, wipe downs, standard valet, providing directions on available parking, assisting in providing traffic control, performing key audits, and completing and distributing reports.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Conduct general field operational functions as needed
  • Safely drive and operate commercial and non-commercial vehicles in accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances and Company policies, including the Company’s Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Policy
  • Safely operate any necessary ride-data technology only when vehicle is fully stopped, and gear is in the Park position
  • Safely loads/unloads bikes, goods, equipment, materials and assist passengers as requested
  • Obey all traffic laws at all times including not using cell phones or any electronic devices without appropriate hands-free devices
  • Operate vehicles with extreme caution and care at all times
  • Conduct vehicle pre-inspection prior to taking possession of a vehicle as well as post-driving inspection upon parking vehicle at the end of shift
  • Handle keys and equipment in accordance with company policy
  • Maintain Vehicle Driving Operations
  • Recommend procedures that increase efficiency and maximize throughput for charging
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment including relief of car backlog
  • Acknowledge and greet all incoming customers in a friendly, welcoming manner that demonstrates First and Lasting Impressions
  • Perform outdoor concierge/customer service duties as requested
  • Anticipate and facilitate customer needs such as requesting their car, opening car doors, assistance with wheelchairs, luggage, holding umbrellas, providing directions, directing traffic etc.
  • Tactfully manages difficult or emotional customer situations
  • Safely perform valet parking services including parking, retrieving and delivering customer vehicles
  • Safely operate customer vehicles in accordance with all traffic regulations, applicable laws and company policies
  • Perform hourly and daily key audits including key transfers to customers and clients as directed
  • Manage valet tickets, keys and equipment in accordance with company policy
  • Assist in completing hourly and daily activity logs using Employee Portal or phone if available, etc. Escalate employee relations issues to Account Manager and promote a harmonious work environment
  • Safely operate, ride and secure bicycles for customers
  • Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences and promotes a harassment-free environment
  • Have working knowledge of Account Specific Details
  • Be flexible with work shifts/hours to service peak volume periods, vacated shifts and other emergency situations
  • Apply and implement standards of performance by submitting to management new ideas, concepts and procedure relative to changing organizational and staffing needs
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications


Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition, the individual must be punctual, have a good attendance record, and have reliable means of transportation to work.

  • For E-Cart, and van drivers, must be at least 25 years old with a minimum of 3 years of experience driving vehicles or be 21 or older with ZERO points on your MVR (you will also need to fill out some other Apple forms)
  • Must have valid Commercial C or Commercial B driver’s license based on vehicle type/size and state/federal regulation
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment, randomized, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and resumption of duties drug and alcohol testing, as further outlined in the Company’s Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Policy
  • Must have no accidents or two-point infractions in the last 5 years
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Some customer service/public relations experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Possess enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Self-motivated and able to work without constant direct supervision and to work with minimal direction
  • Ability to communicate in a positive manner with co-workers, customers and vendors at all times;
  • Work effectively on a team and independently to resolve customer issues
  • Accommodate a flexible work schedule, including different times and locations
  • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to report data and execute other duties with minimal direction
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Must possess cell phone and email account and a reliable means of transportation to work

  • Regularly get in and out of vehicles multiple times per day
  • Regularly stand for extended periods of time
  • Regularly walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly lift and move bikes in and out of the E-Cart and Van
  • Be able to ride a bike proficiently
  • Regularly talk and listen up to 8 hours a day
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to see differences in widths and lengths of lines such as those on graphs
  • Occasionally climb stairs and or use an elevator
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to run, stand for long period of time and be outdoors for several hours at a time
