ALKO Hotels and the Fairfield Inn and Suites Eugene are currently hiring for an Assistant General Manager. The Fairfield Inn and Suites Eugene is a Marriott-branded hotel, and we are seeking an AGM with either Marriott or branded hotel experience. With this position there is potential for upward mobility to General Manager.

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel and provides support to the General Manager. Directs and coordinates hotels activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations, and maximize full potential with a balanced focus on hotels mission, guests, employees, and owners satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist the General Manager in the day to day operations.
2. Assigns duties to heads of departments and observes performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
3. Provides training to staff.
4. Monitor the guest feedback on third-party sites and surveys.
5. Assists the General Manager in resolving guest complaints.
6. Assists in the selection of hotel staff and complete all new hire paperwork.
7. Review employee performance and conducts personnel actions such as disciplinary actions and terminations.
8. Adheres to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures.
9. Ensure full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards.
10. Performs daily, weekly, and monthly property inspections.
11. Ensures property, grounds and work areas are maintained to standard.
12. Builds strong working relationships and communications with hotel staff to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
13. Cover shifts as scheduled by the General Manager.
14. Monitor maintenance progress and FF&E conditions and provide a status report to GM.
15. Provides effective leadership to hotel team members.
16. All other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Management.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Strong management skills.
2. Excellent customer service skills.
3. Ability to type 40-45 wpm.
4. Computer experience a must.
5. Experience with office equipment.
6. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
7. Ability to answer a multi-line phone.
8. Ability to multi-task.
9. Availability to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
