The Receiving Lead reports to the Laboratory Manager and is responsible for the operations and staff in the Receiving Department. The Receiving Lead ensures that the Receiving Department business activities are timely, efficient, and aligned with company goals and values. Key areas of responsibility include sample management, sample & supplies receiving, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)Sample Entry, sending laboratory reports, laboratory supplies ordering, shipping, and Inventory management. Along with routine responsibilities, special projects will be assigned as relevant to department & company needs.

1. Sample Management:

a. Maintains testing samples storage, retention, and disposal.

b. Ensure that all sample are accurately entered into LIMS.

c. Report sample receiving statistics daily to management.

d. Ensure that all completed and released samples are filed in retain cabinets daily.

e. Ensure that sample retention is completed on a weekly basis.

f. Complete monthly work-in-progress and retain sample cabinets audits.

2. Receiving:

a. Open client packages, review order documents for completion and label samples with Alkemist Lab ID numbers in a timely manner.

b. Review client submitted information for completeness.

c. Ensure that labeling of samples is completed in a timely manner.

3. LIMs Entry:

a. Enter all pertinent information into Laboratory Information Maintenance System (LIMs).

b. Release samples to the laboratory.

4. Sending:

a. Signing and Sending final Laboratory Reports (COA) to clients.

b. Archiving digital copies of the COA in appropriate folders.

5. Inventory:

a. Receiving of laboratory consumables, chemicals, and standards.

b. Execute weekly stockroom inventory and send out email notifications to laboratory departments.

c. Complete weekly audit outstanding purchase orders and contact vendors to order updates and availability.

6. Shipping:

a. Initiate and complete returning samples to customer samples in a timely manner.

b. Shipping of Certified Reference Botanical samples for order fulfillment.

7. Executes assigned projects and activities in compliance with SOPs, GLP, cGMP, and FDA & DEA regulations and guidelines.

8. Maintains appropriate documentation of records and laboratory notebooks as required by SOPs and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

9. Other duties & projects as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
