Job Requirements:

A “hands-on” Electronics Technician to provide technical assistance and support to Operations, Quality, Design Engineering and Maintenance to resolve manufacturing issues and drive Continuous Process Improvements. Work in all manufacturing departments to evaluate, trouble shoot, and repair electrical/mechanical issues on all equipment in the facility. Proficient in troubleshooting PLC’s, Drives, and other electronic issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot PLC’s (Siemens), Drives, etc. where needed.
  • Assist Electrical Engineer and Maintenance Manager on new capital, process improvement, or maintenance projects as they arise.
  • Assist with weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance items on all production equipment and document as required.
  • Work closely with mechanical maintenance personnel during breakdowns and improvement projects.
  • Assist plant operations personnel in solving complex problems and executing solutions and preventative measures.
  • Assist in the scheduling, coordinating and arrangement of parts, tools, and equipment as needed for specified projects.
  • Continuously search for new technologies that could improve the functioning of plant process control systems.
  • Assist the Electrical Engineer in maintaining drawings, files, and other documents for existing equipment.

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Technical Degree/Certificate in Industrial Electronics with one to three years experience.
  • Three years of direct experience working with PLC programming and instrumentation
  • Strong mechanical, mathematical, and computer skills, especially Microsoft Office programs
  • One to three year’s experience with Operating Terminal Programming, especially Win CC and Siemens
  • One to three year’s experience with PLC Programming, including Siemens and Lenze
  • Proficient troubleshooting Siemens G120, S110, and S120 drives and Lenze 9300 Drives
  • Project management experience
  • Proficient computer skills using MS Office.
  • Must be a strong troubleshooter with a working knowledge of basic hand tools and maintenance practices
  • Well versed in Lock-out/Tag-out and Electrical safety procedures

Preferred:

  • One to three years of direct working experience working with PLC programming and instrumentation
  • Functional knowledge of Lean, Six-sigma and TPM doctrines
