Xtreme Installations is a locally owned audio/video integration company out of Sanford, FL. We specialize in designing and installing custom low voltage solutions, home theater systems, smart home automation, lighting systems, motorized shades, video surveillance, alarm systems and access control systems in residential and commercial environments. In addition, we recently expanded into the high voltage electrical field to assist builders with residential custom home projects. Our company is comprised of driven young professionals with a combined 40 years of experience in the electrical industry. We are looking for a hardworking and dependable AV Technician with at least 2 years of experience who is motivated to help build our brand and be an integral part of our well-established and growing company.

Responsibilities and Duties

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Installing electronic equipment, devices and accessories - includes TVs, speakers, amplifiers, processors, projectors, racks, conduit and raceways, control systems, networking hardware, communications equipment, security systems, motorized shades and lighting control systems
• Terminating cables, installing jacks/wall plates, labeling, and documentation
• Running and testing wire in new and existing structures - including speaker, communications, control, audio and video cabling
• Providing well-organized wire management
• Communicating effectively with clients to provide project updates and troubleshooting instruction, and with lead technician on daily status updates
• Providing high quality customer service to new and existing clients
• Responsible for reading and understanding AV system drawings
• Working individually, with an assistant, or collectively with the Xtreme Installations team to successfully complete service calls and large scale projects
• Occasionally assisting high voltage electrical division with residential new construction builds

Qualifications and Skills

• 2 or more years of low voltage or custom AV experience is required
• Experience and familiarity with Crestron equipment is a plus

Qualified Candidates Must:

• Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Have a valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record to drive a company vehicle
• Have full time availability, including occasional weekend and/or overnight shift to meet client's needs
• Be willing to travel occasionally for out-of-town jobs for 2-5 days at a time at most (less than 25% of the time)
• Pass a pre-employment background check
• Be capable of performing physical labor, such as carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, working within attics, crawl spaces, and above ceiling

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
