Alive, Fit & Free is seeking experienced Yoga instructors to lead engaging and effective exercise classes for our senior community. As a group fitness instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering fun, safe, and challenging workouts that cater to the unique needs and abilities of older adults.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead chair, standing and mat yoga.
• Modify exercises and provide adaptations to ensure all participants can participate safely and comfortably
• Motivate and encourage seniors to stay active, improve their fitness, and maintain a healthy lifestyle
• Monitor participants' form and provide feedback to ensure proper technique and prevent injuries
• Maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of community
• Collaborate with the wellness team to develop programming that aligns with the company's goals and the needs of our senior members
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience leading group fitness classes, with a focus on working with older adults
• Certification in one or more group fitness disciplines (e.g., AFAA, ACE, NASM)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants
• Thorough understanding of exercise science, anatomy, and the unique needs of the senior population
• Creativity and the ability to design fun, varied, and challenging workouts
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Fitness training insurance
