As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented, driven, and experienced Controller to join our team and play a pivotal role in our financial operations.The Vice President, Corporate Controller is a key leadership role within the finance and accounting department, responsible for overseeing the overall accounting operations of Aline.This position ensures the accuracy and compliance of our accounting function, develops internal controls and policies, and supports strategic financial planning and analysis to drive business growth. Reporting directly to the CFO, the VP, Corporate Controller will work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and ensure fiscal health and compliance.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and timelyfiling of all financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and localregulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.Financial Systems Management: Oversee the maintenance, and optimization of financial systems, including NetSuite, to support accounting and reporting needs. Provide training and support to finance team members on system usage and best practices.Internal Controls and Policies: Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies to manage risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results complywith generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment that attracts, retains, and develops top talent. Ensure staff understand their roles and responsibilities and achieve their potential.Operational Support: Work with department heads and project managers to help them understand their financial decisions and implications. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.Strategic Planning: Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives by providing accounting insights and analysis. Evaluate and advise on the budgetary implications of business activities and new projects.M&A Support: Support due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions, including financial analysis, integration planning, and post-acquisition financial reporting.Audit and Risk Management: Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for various annual audits.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master's degree preferred.5 – 8 years of accounting and financial management experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.Prior experience with NetSuite is desired.Prior experience in a SaaS company desired.Strong understanding of GAAP and other applicable regulatory requirements.Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.Significant experience in financial reporting, tax planning, business planning, and budgeting.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
