We are looking for a translational scientist with Bioinformatics experience to join our talented and collaborative Precision Medicine team. The ideal candidate has experience in managing and analyzing high and low dimensional data as well as multi-omics datasets, developing and curating omics databases and implementing bioinformatics pipelines. Experience with spatial transcriptomics, single cell analysis, and machine learning is an asset.
As a subject matter specialist, supports the execution and delivery of Precision Medicine services for sponsor and investigator-initiated clinical studies. Together with the Director, Precision Medicine, supports the development and execution of strategies to expand services and/or enhance service delivery quality for projects in early-and late-stage clinical programs. Interacts closely with the medical research & development and operational teams and provides Precision Medicine support in cross-functional teams.
Support/Lead Scientific Efforts for Precision Medicine Products

• Provide expert input on design and conduct of clinical studies incorporating Precision Medicine endpoints and/or "omics and non-omics" techniques including but not limited to transcriptomics, metabolomics, proteomics, microbiome, digital image analysis and/or clinical pharmacology.
• Prepare and/or support the preparation and review of Precision Medicine product plans, clinical study reports, and Precision Medicine sections of clinical development plans, study protocols, abstracts, manuscripts, and technical reports.
• Perform and/or support the analysis and interpretation of Precision Medicine data for sponsor and investigator-initiated studies.
• Write, read, and/or review grant applications, clinical study and/or laboratory protocols for Precision Medicine studies or sub-studies.
• Serve on cross-functional teams to provide support in the area of Precision Medicine

Business Development and Sponsor Support

• Assist with business development activities including participating in Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, project pricing, protocol development and bid defenses in the area of Precision Medicine.
• Provide advice to sponsors seeking Alimentiv's guidance in early phase work.
• Support staff, site and investigator training in related areas of expertise.

Product and Service Innovation Support

• Assist in the development of our product/service platforms to ensure all stakeholder requirements are being considered, documented, and translated into the final solution.
• Participate in brainstorming meetings and functionality reviews.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required

• Minimum of an undergraduate degree AND 7-9 years related experience Continuous training.
• Minimum of 2 years of translational medicine experience in pharmaceutical industry or academia or equivalent.
• Experience working and collaborating in cross-functional global team environment.
• Ability to interact externally and internally to support global Precision Medicine efforts.
Assets

• Post-graduate degree in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Biology/Biological Sciences, or related field
• Proficiency with R programming language
• Experience with database systems
• Experience in the use of bioinformatics tools and methods for analysis of next generation sequencing and other high dimensional data types
• Knowledge of immunology, inflammatory bowel disease and/or other gastrointestinal diseasesP
