An Assembler performs simple production assembly with repetitive and non-repetitive production operations on structural and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies based on engineering installation plans. This role supports continuous improvement of products and processes by participating in the design, fabrication and testing of new concepts and technology.

The perfect fit

Are we aligned? We might be if this is you:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Vocational or Technical Degree helpful.
  • No experience necessary, OJT provided
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint reading, specification, change, design).
  • Working knowledge of aircraft manufacturing, instructions and blue prints
  • Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Working knowledge of MTI’s traveler (router, bill of materials, etc.)
  • Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to get along with co-workers and be a team player
  • Understand and obey safety requirements
  • Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris
  • Demonstrates an interest in personal learning and development. Seeks feedback from multiple sources about how to improve and develop; modifies behavior based on feedback or self-analysis of past mistakes. Takes steps to develop and maintain the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform.
