We are looking for an experienced marketing partnerships and activation lead who can bring in relevant partners and develop breakthrough online and offline activations to further Alibaba.com's mission of supporting small businesses on their sourcing journey. This position is located in New York City with travel up to 30% globally.This role is focused on ideating, curating and delivering creative and buzz worthy brand partnerships and experiences that position Alibaba.com's products, services, and buyers in front of the right target audiences. They will work with existing marketing partners to fully realize annual plans as well as develop new partnerships and experiential programs from the ground up. This role will evolve marketing partnerships from strategy through execution including but not limited to: experiential strategy and planning, marketing rights and asset identification and negotiation, production and experiential agency / vendor identification and management, contract negotiation(s), creative development and production, onsite program management, and post event follow-up. A key requirement of this role will be working with multiple stakeholders across Brand Marketing & Management, Sales, Content, Creative, PR, Legal, Procurement, and Finance, as well as external Agency partners. The Buyer Partnerships & Activation Manager will develop individual program strategies to ensure an integrated approach and proper pull through across media, promotions, events, and more.It is essential that this individual has a strong understanding of as well as deep connections within the B2B sourcing space, ultimately leveraging those connections to build lasting partnerships and marketing activations over time.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $119,640/year and $195,600/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Position Requirement

Education and Experiences- Bachelor's degree preferred- Minimum 5 years of experience in all facets of partnership including strategy, on-site and off-site management, negotiation, and content development.- Experience in B2B or working with Small Business Owners is strongly preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to think critically; research, recommend and implement solutions effectively as well as considering creative, new ways to activate current partnerships and KOLs.- Outstanding organizational skills, ability to follow through, and capability of meeting deadlines while balancing multiple projects and priorities- Customer service-oriented demeanor- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively- Possess and demonstrates extremely strong proficiency in communication skills, both written and verbal- Comfortable and experienced with public speaking and group presentations- Ability to think creatively as it pertains to developing partnership and activation campaigns- Organized with consistent attention to detail- Experience using Microsoft Office suite as well as CRM software- Comfort in ambiguity - you are curious and resourceful with a natural ability to solve problems and seek new information
