What Success Means In This Position
This position is a 10-month non-exempt level position. The Office Clerk will be responsible for assisting with managing the school office and will help by providing administrative support to the Principal, Assistant Principal and other staff as needed.
Position Description & Expectations
  • Assist with managing the school office
  • Perform clerical and accounting duties and support the office and school administration; i.e., typing, routine computations, data verification, and data entry.
  • Assist with answering all school inquiries in person, phone and/ or direct them to the appropriate person, if needed.
  • Greet and provide assistance and support to all visitors and staff.
  • Maintain a neat and organized front office area at all times.
  • Schedule and arrange appointments, as needed.
  • Manage regular filing systems and process incoming correspondence, as requested.
  • Assist with time & attendance and payroll timesheets with other records.
  • Operate office equipment, such as computers, copy machines, stamp machines, microfilms, and facsimile.
  • Assist with the management and compile office reports.
  • Assist providing information to various personnel, outside agencies, and the community when requested.
  • Receive processes and distribute the mail, as needed.
  • Order, organize, and maintain office equipment and supplies, as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, Required
  • Minimum of two years clerical experience, Preferred
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Experience with Microsoft software and office machinery
