MARKETING PROJECT MANAGER
All of Alfred State's image, persona, voice, attributes, accolades, and other outcomes for marketing, communications, and public relations strategies must be actualized through the daily work and knowledge possessed by the person holding this position. Due to our remote location, ASC expects more out of Marketing Communications (MarCom) than a typical SUNY institution. This is to build awareness and preference for our brand in markets located beyond the local area and across the US Northeast. This Marketing Project Manager is at the hub of execution for each MarCom project and is critical for the college's positive image.
Job Description:
PROJECT MANAGER

This management is in addition to a Content Creation Team that generates marketing-initiated materials coordinated by a Multi-Media Producer and a PR Calendar coordinated by the Community Relations Specialist. All these projects must be completed with a limited budget and staff while meeting tight deadlines.
The Marketing Project Manager receives every job request; reviews and edits when submitted inaccurately; coordinates with stakeholders to better define scope, content, and timeline; approves jobs; assigns each job to its next step whether writing, designing, or forwarding to the CMO for additional direction or negotiation with stakeholders.
Marketing projects include writing, photography, video, social media, advertisements, and PowerPoint presentations. Orchestrating more than one hundred projects per month and determining the proper execution of marketing strategy takes advanced professional skills and the ability to continually learn and adapt as marketing tactics and needs are evolving.
