Responsibilities

• Incumbent will be working on the SmartComm team and will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting software applications and integrations.
• Gather, document, understand, and articulate functional, non-functional, and business requirements that are already defined.
• Research and troubleshoot issues across different functional teams in order to rectify system problems in a timely manner.
• Become familiar with Alfas interconnected technology framework and systems in order to understand impact of software changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area of study related to Computer Science or Mathematics is required.
• Experience in JavaScript, .Net, ASP and/or C#, XML, Insurance Vertical.
• SmartComm, Grooper, JavaScript, Visual Basic experience is a plus but not required.
• Proven experience in various SDLC components. Knows when to use different methodologies and how to effectively manage each.
• Competent communication skills (sending and receiving), including clear and timely communication on business issues and assignments with peers, management, and product owners.
• Ability to quickly learn and comprehend insurance-related topics and relate that knowledge to the development process.

This is a hybrid position that will allow for remote work 3-4 days per week after the initial training period.
