Alexander Youth Network is Hiring a Medical Records Specialist Near Charlotte, NC

Maintains medical records in accordance with established deadlines; utilizes excellent customer service skills when responding to questions, concerns, complaints and requests from both internal and external customers; assembles client charts; files documentation in client records daily, tracks and notifies program staff of required documentation missing from charts; performs shelf maintenance including removing discharged client charts; pull charts for agency audits; processes all requests for medical records information; distributes requests for charts to agency staff; processes and scores all Conners’ assessments; coordinates off-site storage; manages off-site storage accounts; enters tracking information into management information system regarding record storage; maintains accurate log of location of all off-site charts; manages stock of assessment tools and replenishes accordingly; tracks and orders supplies used within the Medical Records Department; purges records in accordance with established procedures.
High School diploma required. One year(s) experience in behavioral healthcare preferred. Completed medical records training/certification and familiarity with HIPAA regulations and 42 CFR Part II rules preferred.
